My favorite 3 blogs

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

☆I wish you have a good year☆

I chose my fevorite 3 blogs. These blogs have many good points,contents, pictures links and so on. Therefore, I was able to learn that how to make a better blog.

Yuka's blog: I think Yuka's blog us the best blog. Because in her blog, there are many pictures and good links. I can check the weather of today's NZ. Additionaly, she uses some pictures to explain cyclon. So, it is easy to undestand the system how to be made a cyclon.

Natue's Blog: I think Natue's blog is better. She uses many pictures andhas enough space. So the appearences is very good. Besides, the length of senetence is good and easy to understand. The best poin of her blog is the length is enough but the desine of blog is good, so I did't feel too hard to read.

Chikako's blog: I think Chikako's blog is good. Because, she uses many color and big letter, small letter. So I could understand easily where is important or indexes. These things are easy to set, but I didn't notice. So I used in this time.

Speech of New Zealand

The longest river in New Zealand is Waikato River. The length is 425KM. The origin of this river is Mt Ruapehu. This river goes to Lake Taupo and outlet from this lake, and the river is through Hamilton City and reaches Port Waikato. The origin of the name of this river is from a team journey. The team‘s name is Tainui. They journeyed from Polynesia. When they arrived at the mouth of the river, the speed of water was fast. The Tainui called the speed “kato” and “wai” means “water” so this river is called “Waikto”. This site is very good to know more about Waikato River. In Japan, the longest river is “Shinano River”. The length is 367KM. The origin of this river is Mt Kobusidake(甲武信岳). This river is through Nagano pre and Niigata pre and finally reaches Nihonkai. This river is also called “Chikuma River” in Nagano pre. The origin of the name is the river is from Nagano pre. “Sinano” is old name of the Pre. This site is very good to know more about Shinano River.

New Zealand and Japan

The biggest same point between New Zealand and Japan is Island country. Therefore, there are many point that we can compare Japan and New Zealand.
The longest river is Waikato in the North Island. The length is 425 KM/264 miles. This is like Shinano River(Chikuma river) in point of the largest river in the country. This river is 367KM. Lake Taupo on North Island is the largest lake. This has 607 sq KM/235 sq miles. This is like “Lake Biwa” in Shiga prefecture and has about 670 sq KM. If you know more about Lake Taupo, please check this site. Mt. Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan and the highest point is 3776m. New Zealand’s highest mountain is Mt. Cook’(Aoraki in Maori) and 3754m. This mountain is on South Island. This site is good to watch Mt.Cook from sky.

Geography about New Zealand

Our group research about geography of New Zealand.　New Zealand has many interesting geography such as volcano, hot spring, beautiful lakes and beautiful mountains. So I think Google map and Google Earth is good resources. However, you need to install (free) to use Google Earth. Google Earth is useful for us to know the landform. Because of two plates, there are many volcano and hot springs in North Island. In south Island, there are many high mountains covered with snow. Southern Alps are long mountain running 500 kilometer.
I will go tot New Zealand next February. So I am very interested in New Zealand’s　geography and natures. If you know about this country’s nature and geography, you will become to want to go there!!

Speech of Oktoberfest

I’d like to talk about history of “Oktoberfest”.
In 1810, Princess Therese and Prince Ludwing were married, and this festival was held as their wedding celebration. The purpose of this festival is giving thanks to crops and nature and sharing the joy with their family. At first, this festival was held in October, but now is in September. Because middle of October is cold. So people can not enjoy this festival at night. If this festival is held in September, people can enjoy long time, so this festival is moved in September. However, Octoberfest weekend is left in October traditionally.
In USA, there is “Oktoberfest USA”. In 1960, civic leaders thought that they need an event which everyone enjoy. In same time, a company was thinking their annual event. This news was spread rapidly and civic leaders caught the news. Finally, 2 Germanys who worked at beer house caught the news and suggested to leaders a festival like an “Octoberfest” in German. This festival is good in 2points. First, leaves turned their color in fall. So, this season is very beautiful. Second, harvest is finished in this season and preparation for winter is begun. So people can perpetrate for festival easily. The company agreed the festival and they sponsored this festival.

Oktoberfesta was begun at Munich as a wedding cerebration of Princess Therese and Prince Ludwing on October 12th to 17th in 1810.In this ceremony, they thanks to almost all of crops and nature. They enjoyed the ceremony with their family. This festival originated in Germany, and here is very famous for beer!! So, in this festival, people drink much beer. At noon (12pm), the St. Paul's Church in Munich strikes the clock and official opening ceremony starts. After the time, people enter beer tent. Beer tent was open the barrel and visitors can drink beer. This ceremony was very beautiful so visitors come at 9am and wait for 3 hours in order to watch good seat. Of course, children can do not drink beer so they must leave the tent before 8pm even if they are with their parents. The most interesting thing in this festival is the Trachtenfest parade. Many people from all over the Germany wear their traditional clothes. Musicians and beer wagons are decorated and decorated horses are pull people and wagon. They walk the downtown. In USA, there are Octoberfest. This originates Octoberfest in Germany.
This year Octoberfest was held in September. This festival is called “Octoberfest” but why in September?? Because weather condition in September is better than October. September is warmer than October, so visitors can enjoy at night without chilly. Next year will be held on September 19th, Saturday. If you would like to know more, please visit these sites!! ①　②
